EPW - Denton, London, quarter-hour repeater, 58mm, gilt OF pair cases, inner contains bell and is pierced for sound transmission, inner with slide at 6 for selection of strike on bell or strike "à toc," white enamel dial, KWKS, verge escapement, ornately engraved gilt mvt with pierced and foliate scrolled balance cock, s#1636 within outer case.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, repeat function is frequently an hour off, repeat tone is nearly entirely muffled sounding as only a dull rattle, bell with a slit at one side, fine cosmetic mvt condition overall, few scratches; dial with patched chip below screw under signature, few light hls; excellent hands; outer case shows light wear, numerous dents to rear, some dings to bezel, bezel is crimped inward at latch position, scattered areas of gilt loss, button latch good, case closes with some gap along its upper portion; inner case shows light wear, scattered dents and dings, puncture to edge near 8, areas of gilt loss; tight bow; domed glass crystal with some scratches.
